Is it safe to travel to Egypt?
Tuesday, February 07, 2012
For Egyptians and Tourists to visit the Pyramids or to go to Heliopolis area the life is very normal , even the clients visiting the Egyptian Museum which is 10 minutes away from the actions , still the visit can be done normally. What we can say is that Egypt is still safer than many destinations that are used to have problems and still have tourism programs running , as we can see what is happening now goes back to two items:
1 – Media and how they can show things much bigger than its truth like when an Egyptian is having his Lunch or Dinner quietly in Cairo and sees what the Media is saying about Cairo he does not believe they are talking about the same city.
2 – The fact the Egypt used to have very high security level that people used to stay very late at night , going to any place with no restrictions which changed now both natives and Guests are not recommended to stay late alone in the streets but again this is normal in many cities around the world and this is not considered an issue.
Finally we want to stress on the fact the Egyptians by nature are warm , hospitable people who used to , still are and will always be welcoming guests to their county.
Below is a sample of what the guests visiting Egypt mentioned “ Our recent visit to Cairo confirmed that Egypt is safe and ready for tourists,” said Lisa Simon, president of the NTA, “The Egyptian people welcomed us with a renewed spirit and pride resulting from the revolution – they’re ready and anxious to show off the ‘new Egypt.’
